Athena Lent has over six years of financial experience, with expertise in personal loans, credit card debt, budgeting, student loans, and mortgages.

Athena has worked as a contributor for The College Investor and currently works as a personal finance columnist for Slate and a contributor for GOBankingRates. Her work has been featured by MSN, Yahoo Finance, NewsBreak, and Money Under 30.

She is the winner of the Plutus award for Best Personal Finance Content for Underserved Communities and the founder of Money Smart Latina, where she offers financial advice to Latinas. Athena authored the book, "Budgeting For Dummies."
